In March 1941, Ernest, Colette and their grandparents face rationing while Robert remains a prisoner of the Germans. The black market organized by Tissier, the village grocer, and Hans, an officer, was interrupted following a denunciation. The resistance made progress, but soon after, the Gestapo began arresting the Jews.
