Hoodless vest

Price : 42,00

Exclusive to the Airborne Museum.
A comfortable khaki cotton vest with a D.DAY NORMANDY embroidery on the back and the name of the town of Sainte-Mère-Eglise on the heart. The patch of the 101st Airborne Division is embroidered on the shoulder: the paratroopers of the 101st Airborne Division, the "screaming eagles", jumped for the 1st time in combat in Normandy in the night of 5 to 6 June 1944. The 82nd Airborne Division patch is also embroidered on the other shoulder. The 82nd Airborne Division was nicknamed the "All American" in reference to the choice made, at the time of the creation of the original infantry division, to take soldiers coming from all the states of the USA. The 82nd Airborne Division liberated Sainte-Mère-Eglise on June 6, 1944.
