VISIT THE MUSEUM ON YOUR OWN, WITH FAMILY OR FRIENDS
Get ready to experience the parachute drops of June 6, 1944! Board a C-47 in England at night, then land in the town square of Sainte-Mère-Eglise in the midst of the fighting.
The tour lasts an average of two hours, and you'll be given an interactive tablet.
Just a few kilometers from Utah Beach and the D-Day landing beaches, the Airborne Museum is located in the heart of Sainte-Mère-Eglise, opposite the bell tower from which parachutist John Steele hung.
With its spectacular museography, the Airborne Museum will take you back to D-Day alongside the American paratroopers of the 82nd and 101st Airborne. Discover an exceptional collection of historical objects, an authentic glider and a C-47 aircraft that took part in the D-Day operations.
New for 2025: the new 1200m2 WACO pavilion, entirely dedicated to American gliders, bringing the total number of buildings open to visitors to 5; the renovation of the museum's oldest building, now themed on the Occupation and the Resistance; and the redevelopment of the museum grounds, with a rest and catering area now available and new vehicles on display outside.
